This week we received the first parcel from Sue Spargo containing a fabulous selection of hand dyed wools and velvet. We teamed this month’s pack “Ocean Blue” with some of Sue’s favourite threads, delicious ribbons and beads to make an irresistable parcel of colour. Each month Sue will be sending us a different colour base to which we will add the final bits and bobs to make a gorgeous colour package that you can use to make any of Sue’s projects. If you would like to receive one of Sue’s fabulous packages each month please call the shop to register your details. A little birdy has tweeted the colour base for next month so I am now hunting out gorgeous treasures to make it complete.
The gorgeous Kyleigh has been througly engrossed with her Flower Vase project from Sue's recent workshop and happily admits that she was been unable to put it down. It is absolutely gorgeous and definately has everyone oohing and aahing...... this of course leaves her with a dilema as both her daughter and mother are absolutely in love with it......she is going to let them fight it out.....so she says, but I know better.....Kyleigh has decided that she is going to have it framed so that she can enjoy her piece for a long time to come.
For those of you who love Sue and her beautiful work we are thrilled to announce that she will be joining us again in January for a retreat at the Sunshine Coast. Over the week Sue will be taking a 3 day workshop on stitches - we are hoping to work through her 50 favourties and then a 2 day workshop where you can work on any one of Sue's many delicious projects. Most meals will be included, with a free day where you can join Sue as she takes in some of the Coast's highlights like Montville, Maleny and Noosa. And while we are talking everythng Sue, she is releasing a new book at Houston this year - her favourite 50 stitches. We have placed a preorder with Sue so if you would love to have this book in your library or are interested in joining her at the Sunshine Coast please let us know and we will be happy to help with any further information.
