Susan Smith is visiting Precious Time this weekend and I feel like Mum is coming to visit and I have to get the house in order - you know - do the washing, vacuum and mop the floors - except in my case it is catching up on my blocks for Stonefields. So my progress has been to finish stitching some of the blocks that I prepared last time Susan was up and miraculously I have managed to choose more blocks ready for stitching.
It definately helps keep you on track when the tutor comes to visit and play with fabrics for the weekend - certainly a nice way to spend a few days - nice food - good company - a pile of fabrics - great conversation - what more is there.
Stonefields is a lovely block of the month, but damn that girl likes circles. By the time I finish this quilt I will be able to applique circles in the dark.
I am sure that I will have lots of gorgeous photos of the weekend class and the quilts that the girls are working on - so keep an eye on the blog.
The year seems to be flying by at an alarming rate and it is a little scary to think that November will be upon us in a few weeks. So of course our thoughts will soon turn to Chrismtas and all the joy that comes with. So if you are looking for a new quilt to brighten your wall for the festive season then this may be just the quilt for you....
20 blocks make up this happy Christmas Tree quilt designed by Amanda Jean from Crazy Mom Quilts - sewn by our fabulous Partrina and quilted by the talented Bev McClune. We have made up some gorgeous packs that will have you itching to make this quilt for your Christmas celebrations.
Don't you love the little blackboard tags - they are so c-ute....
So with my homework sitting beside me it is time to get to work and stitch.
Sweet dreams and happy stitching.......lisa
