It has been a week for finishing.
Amanda's version of Ruby Rose from Homespun N111 V13.8 returned after quilting looking gorgeous. Amanda used a French General jelly roll for her quilt creating a very sofisticated look.
Also busy stitching is Kyleigh who brought in her version of Tessellations quilt from lasy year's class with Bridget Giblin.
She has also been busy working on her Whirlygig quilt designed by Sue Ross for her son James. So last night we auditioned fabrics for the border and the winner was.....
This smouldering zig zag from Kaffe Fassett Collective was the perfect print for the border - we can't wait to see what Majella does with the quilting.
This month's Dear Jane started with some awful news.....
I sent out a reminder text to the girls to say Dear Jane was on
I then received a text that said "What happended to Jane"
Perplexed I checked my text and discovered my auto correct had been at work
......Dead Jane was on
Can you imagine!!! Damn that auto correct.
So after several messages of sympathy we met and shared the blocks for the month....
They all look so pretty....
This coming weekend we have two fantastic classes:-
Saturday morning we have Wise up with Rulers. Come along and learn how easy it is to use 3 fabulous rulers from the Creative Grids Collection. Any of these rulers would be a fabulous addition to your quilting toolbox. They are especially fantastic if you are looking at a way to bust through your stash of fabrics.
Pop along on Saturday and see how easy it is to use these tools to create easy Log Cabins without all the measuring, super quick tumbler cutting and Pineapple pieced blocks without foundation paper.
On Sunday there are still places available in Peggy's Circle Play class
Peggy will have you mastering curved piecing by the end of the class.....if you would like to join Peggy and make this happy, eclectic quilt then call the shop to book your pink chair.
I finished sewing my Paper Dollies today and they are ready to be sewn together after a few minor changes to the layout. They really were such fun to make.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend and find some time to work on a project that brings you joy.
