We have just received a wonderful selection of stitcheries from Rosalie Quinlan. Being so close to St Andrews hospital we get a lot of ladies popping in to grab something to help pass the time or looking for a gift for a stitching sister who is at the hospital undergoing tests or receiving some form of treatment. They are pre-printed which is perfect - a needle, thread and hoop and for me a thimble (must have) are all you need to get stitching.
I am sure that there will be a pattern to suit everyone......
Along with these individual stitcheries we have also received Rosalie's new stitchery block of the Month "Simply Blessed". You are able to purchase them individualy or you can arrange with us to have them posted or collected in store monthly. We are not offering it as a block of the month at this stage but as always we are more than happy to help you choose a collection of fabrics to suit you and your home.
We have a few places available in our 2nd Aurifil Thread Club of the Month. This selection is all about threads suitable for Reproduction applique....yummmm
As you can see we have a full display box for you to lust after. These threads are gorgeous for hand applique and we can also order threads for machine piecing, machine quilting and hand quilting. If you would like to join our thread club please contact the shop to reserve your box and the first months selection of threads.
If you love modern quilts or are in love with solids then this collection is calling your name. These modern shot cottons feel delicious and cut like silk.....they are seriously beautiful and are looking for nice homes....but don't be long because they are literally walking out the door.
So all the cutting....
and they magically turn into these fabulous fat 1/4 packs (with a little help of course)
Jenny came a visiting with her Hare Race again this week - time for those racing rabbits to be stitched down and find their final place on the quilt....
I have some more blocks completed for my Sweet Tea Green Bean quilt - 3 double drunkard path blocks ticked off the list.
Unfortunately I can't take the credit for sewing them - my lovely friend Kyleigh stitched them up for me - to help me keep up to date - yes, she is still stitching at an almighty pace....this will be one quilt that definately won't end up in the UFO box.
The shop has been extremely busy over the past few days - thank you for your continued support of local quilt shops.
A friend told me that the best way to store your favourite fabric is to sew it into a quilt.....
Until next time......happy stitching
