Hapi is the newest range from Amy Butler and was inspired by a recent holiday to Egypt. Hapi is the Eyptian god of the Nile and is all about creation and moving forward - for Ami it is her love story. An expression of the idea of flow and creativity that she believes we all posses, it flows from our hearts and hands. These prints have an ethnic vibe with graphic combinations that will allow all of us to play with these rich colours and prints. The palettes are a joyful mix of lush, bright colours and deep hues that dance off each other throughout the collection. Amy hopes that it captures our imagination and inspires us to create from our hearts - I have no doubt that it will. The prints are so delicious that it is hard to decide on a favourite - I can't wait to use them all. I hope you fall in love with them as much as I have.......
I have chosen a selection to make a small project from Jaybird Quilts - so keep watch. It is for next months Wise up with Rulers. A great morning to learn how to use some of the hotest rulers on the market.
With Kyleigh at the helm, blocks for Green Tea and Sweet Beans is moving along at a swift pace. Kyleigh is detrermined to have it finished before Christmas. Sharing my prepared blocks last night at Hearts and Hands the girls laughed - they all said at this rate it will be completed by June. I feel some late nights coming on.
Here are my 7 orange peel blocks prepared and ready for stitching - but not tonight as I have to finish my hexagon block.
