Only a few more days and we will all be caught in the heady, whirlwind known as Cyclone MSG. This storm brings with it creativity on a level 10. Of course this is what is most exciting - the challenges that Marg throws at you with not even the slightest blink of an eye fill you with fear and joy at the same time. You know that feeling you get at the top of the roller-coaster - well that just about sums up Marg's class. The choices you make in regards to fabric and design stretch you in directions you didn't even know possible. The greatest accomplishment is that you produce a quilt that is as individual as you are.
The raffle was an outstanding success and helped raise a huge part of the funds eventually donated to Beyond Blue. As part of our commitment to the exhibition we donated a lovely bundle of Kaffe Fassett fabrics and one of his books all wrapped up in a Tilda Tin. We carefully packed it into our car filled with goodies and proceeded to drive it all the way to Melbourne - only to have to pack it back into the car and drive it home.
It was our greatest pleasure to present this bundle to Lorraine - one of our gorgeous customers. It did make us chuckle a little - if only we knew - we could have left it safe and sound at home.
It was so exciting to be in the Barn when the winning ticket was drawn and the subsequent call to the winner. Her mother brought the ticket for her and she was a little unsure about the whole situation for a few minutes......we were all holding our breath at this point.......as it turned out Mum is ecstatic.
But I know it is really the photos of the quilts that you are dying to see .....so here goes
There was so much beauty to capture in your memory - it was near impossible. I look forward to sharing with you the creativity from Marg's weekend class.
Until then happy stitching........lisa
