While I have been absent from the blog I have been busy working on a new website with a shopping cart. It will take a little while for everything to be loaded and the classes and workshops to be moved over - so as they say keep watching this space.
The blog can still be viewed in the normal manor or via the new website - Precious Time Quilts. I hope that you will enjoy the products and classes that we will showcasing. I would love to hear your feedback on the site and especially if you purchase goods and use the shopping cart.
In the meantime everyone has been getting ready for Marg's upcoming class on the weekend - all the girls are madly stitching working on their homework
Kyleigh never ceases to amaze us all with her high productivity - her Not the Levens Hall is looking gorgeous
Majella has been helping me with a quilt for my new great niece -
Her parents are absolutely thrilled with the design and is currently in the quilting que - can't wait to see what Majella does!
Roland and I were blessed to be given a weekend away at Bryon - a joint Father's Day/Wedding Anniversary gift from our girls. We rested, ate fish and chips on the beach, walked the beaches and visited the iconic Lighthouse
Even though the storm clouds gathered the rain stayed away. I can highly recommend a morning at the Byron Bay Markets - 1st Sunday of the month. Filled with fabulous craft works , jewellery, clothes, a huge array of foods, produce and art. You will be amazed at the quality of workmanship from local artists. Wide aisles and spacious stalls made for a very pleasant stroll - and yes we may have made a purchase or two!
So in all of that relaxing I may have even had time to stitch a few hexies for my Stonefields quilt
Then all of a sudden the blooms are bursting and Spring is just starting to nudge Winter away
Whilst I was away overseas last year Patrina planted this so so sweet Fairy Magnolia on the deck and this year it has burst into bloom - the name really suits these delicate little flourishes
At the same time the flowering Peach trees on the street side of the store was popping into delicate little snowballs of petals.....I love these blossoms and this year they have been exquisite all over the city.
We revelled in another tuffet class with Terri - our third but sadly last class for the year. Keep a check on the website as we will be listing new dates for 2016 shortly.
This tuffet class was all about the pipping as a few of us took on the challenge of not only pipping our buttons but our tuffets
Once again under the fabulous guidance of Terri all the girls left with their tuffets complete and looking absolutely divine
Majella and I discovered the most wonderful furnishing fabric on our recent jaunt and I decided to use it to make a pipped tuffet for my MIL for Christmas
Ros was back to make another tuffet - this time as a surprise for her daughter in law - they live at the coast and this tuffet certainly embraces their location
and here are all the very clever makers.......
Tula Pink's latest range - Eden arrived in store. All the prints are absolutely gorgeous - so hard to pick my favourite.
We have hand cut fat quarters and fat eight bundles - all available in store or via the website.
I trust that you have all been well and happy during my absence and enjoying your current stitching project. If you are coming to Marg's workshop this weekend I look forward to seeing you there.
Until next time..........happy stitching ..........lisa
